Mei by Fat Spoon

First thing that came to mind : guilt free pleasure food. Minimalistic and lots of sunlight. That is how I would describe Mei by Fat Spoon. They were opened in February of this year and I kept seeing photos from other foodies on Instagram and I was intrigued with this place. The name Fat Spoon is known and in Damansara Uptown but wth is Mei by Fat Spoon. And what's with all the Japanese looking cuisine? AFAIK, Fat Spoon has a very different concept.

I got together with some friends and had dinner there earlier of the year and only blog about it now. Yeah, delayed reaction. And my food blog need some updates. So here are what we ordered.

Cappuccino. Not bad.

Osmanthus Tea. Cute and endless cups of tea.

Salmon ikura. Love this combo and it's quite filling too because there's rice at the bottom of this bowl of goodies.

Chirashi. Refreshingly good and guilt free. Fish = brain food :)

Hokkaido scallops and lychee tartare. This is for sharing but it was not enough for us so we ordered another one.

Torched salmon rice and soup. Slightly torched salmon if you don't like raw fish and comes with a soup. Forgot to take a pic of the soup.

Kentucky Fried Oysters. I prefer raw oysters.

Light braised beef short ribs and radish. This is definitely everyone's favourite and yes, we ordered another portion of this. This comes as an ala carte dish or with rice. This is a must have for me.

Fat chocolate cake. I'm not a fan of chocolate but I love this. It is so moist and tasty that I will sometimes dream of eating this.

Salted gula melaka ice cream with sago. I'm not a fan of gula melaka and sago. But my friends love it!

I want to eat there everyday but my wallet don't allow it. So I have to be patient and endure the cravings. Happy eating~~
