Crab Factory

My visit to Crab Factory in SS2 was back in August this year. I haven't got time to blog about it until now. I've been putting off blogging to stare into space and work.

Crab Factory is located below Professor Uniform and same row as Pelita Nasi Kandar in SS2 PJ. It is always packed with customers and reservation is highly recommended on weekends. Visit their website here. On busy nights, we were informed that we have a 2 hours duration for our dinner.

They have limited tables therefore, rotation is required. It reminds me of my high school recess time.

Mini Coca Cola bottles are served here.

The tables are lined with huge plastic coverings fit for painting jobs. Lime are thrown across the table for later when the seafood are served.

Fried squids.

We ordered medium size crabs.

Love the scallops here. It's about the size of the old 50 cents coin. We add-on lots of mushrooms as you can see.

The seafood are pretty much customizable to your liking. First, pick your choice of seafood then followed by the sauce (normal to spicy sauces are available) and last but not least the add-ons (sausages, potatoes, corns and 3 types of mushrooms).

It is best to dine-in with a group of friends so that you get to sample more food. Unless you have a huge appetite then you may dine-in with your partner. It definitely burn a hole in our pockets that night.

It was fun to eat with our bare hands with no cutlery. It would be nicer if Malaysia's weather allow us to sit outdoor with a nice cold breeze while watching the sun go down.

Wa Cafe, Pavilion KL +closed down+

Wa Cafe located on the 6th floor of Pavilion KL is one of my regular coffee fix place. I like the simple setup and lack of crowd. It doesn't sound positive but that's my honest opinion. It's quiet and I enjoy sitting there with my cuppa while staring into space, freeing my mind.

These are taken on separate visits and I simply love the coffee art. So smooth and beautiful.

Cappuccino. Taste as good as it look.

Long Black. It looks diluted. But the taste is clean and pure. I have yet to find another place that serve the same cup of coffee. On first glance, this looks like "tin chat" (a type of bitter chinese herbal drink).

Magic. Not many cafes serve this. Those who have studied in Melbourne might be familiar with the name. Magic is basically steamed milk poured over a double ristretto served in a smaller cup. To be exact, Magic is served in a 5 ounce cup instead of the usual 8 ounce coffee cup.

Although I enjoy the coffees here, the consistency is questionable. I am happy when the Japanese male barista make the coffee or the Chinese girl with bright colour hair make the coffee. Other baristas need to work on their skill.

Naughty Babe Dirty Duck (NBDD)

I have passed by the corner of Naughty Babe Dirty Duck (NBDD) countless times but never once attempt to dine-in. I finally went when a friend suggest to meet for dinner there. Parking might be a problem as there are many F&B outlets and marts around the area.

Eventhough the place was packed, the customer turnover are quite fast and we were shown to our table in no time. We sat indoor near the bar counter and I must say that I love the low lighting and wooden interior. The decorations made it obvious that the place is non-halal with its many pig figurines and drawings. There was even an illustrated pig printed on their napkins.

Cute little napkin with cutleries.

Love their tagline, "Reality is an illusion that occurs due to the lack of wine."

Dirty Nachos - Corn tortilla served with cheddar cheese, jalapenos, tomato salsa, sour cream, guacamole and crispy pork bacon.
Great for sharing!

Char-broiled Sakura Pork Chop - served with sweet potatoes, broccoli and cranberry sauce.
The pork chop sits on top of some orange-y diced looking things which I thought was carrots. I scoffed at it because I don't like carrots. But I took a bite of it out of curiousity and liked it! It's actually sweet potatoes disguised as carrot. Needless to say, I finished the whole lot.

Seafood Marinara - Linguine served with seafood, garlic, capers, olives, anchovies, fresh tomatoes, chillies and fresh basil.
Nothing to shout about as it's plain old pasta. Can't blame them as it is not their forte.

Porky Burger - Pork meat burger served with crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, salad & fries.
The pork patty is juicy but the bread turns out to be a bit dry.

Creme Brulee.
We all enjoyed this as a sweet ending.

My photos are terrible (I know) but the food are not. This is a great place to hangout for pork lovers. If you are not a fan of pork, the choice will be limited. I do see a lot of drinkers in this restaurant.

Nice place for a quick dinner and drinks. This is one of those rare restaurants with fast serving of food and friendly staff.
