Old Tricycle BBQ Yong Tau Foo

Nearby one of my favourite Japanese BBQ place in Taman Desa is Old Tricycle BBQ Yong Tau Foo. I thought they were owned by the same people. Similar concept and opposite of one another but selling different food. One is Japanese and the latter is Chinese.

One rainy Saturday early this year when it was raining like crazy, me and my friends went there to check it out. Forgive me for the extremely shitty photos below. It was raining heavily that time and we were seated in the alleyway. And I did not bring my camera therefore all photos were taken with my iPhone 5, not even an S.

Old Tricycle BBQ Yong Tau Foo.

Drinks are served in enamel cups. The motifs are for chinese weddings.

Love the chee cheong fun here. The texture is very smooth and nice. And I personally don't like local style chee cheong fun but I did eat this.

We ordered the big yong tau foo set for BBQ. It was definitely not enough for the 6 of us. The yong tau foo is about RM1.80/piece here. Quite expensive because the fish paste is not much. I do understand why they can't put too much because you'll be bbq-ing the damn thing and the veg probably burnt faster than the fish paste is cooked.

Look so fun and refreshing right ? It's strictly for fun. I still prefer the old style yong tau foo where we don't have to cook it ourselves.

Our bill came up to around RM125 and all of us are still hungry. So we head over to Japanese BBQ opposite for our second dinner. This is a place to bring your friends from out of town or from overseas and friends who are light eater. I have to admit that this is not the place for me because I eat way too much.
