Shinyaki Yakiniku + Sushi

We've been wanting to check out this new place in Segambut for a while but couldn't find the time. As we were in the area this evening, we took the opportunity to makan dinner there.

Shinyaki Yakiniku + Sushi is located inside of M Avenue. It is about 16 mins drive from Publika. We consulted Waze. It is not hard to find and we noticed that this area is full of steamboat restaurants. Will check out the rest next time.

Shinyaki Yakiniku + Sushi.

The outdoor dining area. Cute stools made from wood.

Bamboo wall - so cliche

Green tea for us as it was a hot night. Thank God we were given a pitcher so that we can refill our drinks.

Charcoal stove

Tuna sashimi

Ika aka Squid

Scallops with teriyaki sauce. Bigger than our old 50 cents. It was awesome.

Chicken gizzard. So good that we ordered second helpings.

Chicken wings. I like how the skewer the chick but this was a tad too salty for me. I love shio but this is too shio-ed. (For those who don't know "shio", it means salt)

Pork Set - you have to cook this yourself over the charcoal stove
This is the set up. It can be quite fun.
It's a nice quiet neighbourhood shoplot (M Avenue). It was a Sunday and I don't know how it's like on a weekday night. Nice place to hangout over yakiniku and some sakes and beers. Limited tables as the place is small. They are pretty new (about 6 months I would say...I might be wrong).

Besides yakiniku, Shinyaki also offers fresh sashimi, bento meals, alcohols (of course). Places like this are rare in Malaysia. Some of the items are overly salty but that could be improved in time and comments from customers.

There are many more items on the menu that we wish to try but we there's only so much 2 person can eat. Will come back next time when the weather is less hot.
