Tai Lei Loi Kei

There's a new chain of pork related restaurants opening up in Klang Valley. From what I know, it is a mouthful and they serve pork. I've tried pronouncing it a couple of times and it doesn't come out right. So I asked my sister who can read and write Chinese the correct pronounciation. She said, "Aiyah, it's the same as how you read it in English lah..ish".

Tai Lei Loi Kei is a famous makan place in Macau and I've never been there so I didn't know. I went to their outlet in Damansara Uptown twice before decided to blog about it. The concept is interesting and the food is simple. To me, it is nothing to shout about. But it is a simple restaurant that serves pork and has a simple menu to choose from.

You walk into any outlet. Go straight to the cashier counter, place your order and pay for it. Have a seat and wait for your food. There is a number-ing system here and you wait til the number appear on the LED screen, then you walk back to the counter to collect your food. Simple and easy.

Curry fish balls. I feel that the road side fried fish ball is nicer but hey! this is something that the Hongkies and Macau people like. Don't hate!

Pork ribs rice. This comes with a soft drink. The rice is a bit dry but this could be caused by the person that cooks it. Less water than usual ?

Porks ribs with soft noodle. Light meal and perfect for ladies. Not too oily as well.
