The owners of The Royal Flush invited members of the media to share this joyful night and introduces their Chinese New Year set. According to Ernest (one of the owner), the set that I will share with you shortly is his personal favourite and therefore, that's what we'll be eating. It's called "The Spot On Menu".
The facade of The Royal Flush. Ain't it grand? (note : this photo was taken from my colleague's FB because I forgot to snap one myself *shy* Photo credit to Miss WC)
The surrounding area of the restaurant. Very atas hor? I love it! (Photo credit to Miss WC)
Just in case if you're wondering whether I'm pulling your leg. The place is indeed called The Royal Flush.
The ground floor seating arrangements.
Chinaware fits for royalty. The Chinese Emperor wears yellow. It significes the Yellow Dragon (黃龍) and balance of Yin and Yang. (this was not told by the owners, i just felt compel to share this).
Crispy Popiah (hor d'oeuvres). The chef is extremely smart and make this less guilty for the ladies. The popiah lies on top of a bed of alfafa sprouts hence the excess oil will not coat the bottom of the plate.
Salmon flakes wrapped in fried wantan skin. It's so Italian. I call this perkahwinan di antara masakan Itali dengan Cina.
Twin Cold Combination. Fresh oyster with a slice of lemon with dip sauce in a cup and the other one is sliced abalone on top of kiwi fruit with cherry tomatoes and alfafa sprouts.
Dimsum Combination. Awesome fish ball (extremely fresh and bouncy), Siew Mai and Xiao Loong Bao.
Grilled Cod Fish. I love the texture of the fish however, the glazed was a bit salty.
Grilled Scallop Bacon. Essentially, this is the Cina-fied version of Pigs in a blanket. A refreshing good combo.
Grilled Pork Ribs. Just the right amount of fats, meat and gravy.
Asparagus garnished with salmon flakes.
Abalone Fried Rice. The abalone sits snugly on a bed of rice. Don't it look comfy? Like a person being tucked in to bed?
Double Boiled Bird's Nest. But it looks and tastes like Sea Cucumber White Fungus dessert to me. I'm not sure. This was a bit too sweet for my taste.
Crystal Peanut Dumpling. Mochi coated with grind peanuts and sesame filling. I love the filling.
The Spot On Menu is priced at RM1,200 nett. If you're scratching your head wondering where to bring your family or friends for dinner this CNY, why not come here? Cosy ambience , top notch service by the crew and super atas feel.
*Note : They are officially opened on 21st January 2013
