The Red Beanbag

Okay....they are not new and not been opened too long ago. Not exactly in Publika and not too far from it. What am I getting at ? For those who are familiar with that area will know exactly where The Red Beanbag is located. It's kind of hard for me to explain unless you know the place. They are above Dr Cafe and opposite of ben's at Publika.

Anyways, I first found out about The Red Beanbag from Time Out KL magazine. The magazine to go to for food hunt. And at that time, there was an article on brunch. Brunch is do-able for me because I normally wake up pretty late during the weekends.

I've tried the The Red Beanbag's Signature Breakfast but it's not for me. Don't quite like it. BUT... I do love one of their main course and I can't get enough of it. I MUST eat this everytime I'm there unless if it's too early and it's not available.

Do excuse the photos because it was taken at night (low light condition and my internal flash suck...)

Fowl Luck - Roasted Chicken Thigh with herb potatoes, mushrooms, olives and mushroom gravy. The thigh is juicy and the skin melts in your mouth plus I love the simple combo of cubed potatoes and assorted mushrooms. Simply delicious!

Cappuccino. I normally opt for without the chocolate flakes. Hate those things. Makes my teeth looks funky if I forget to lick off the residues. The coffee art here is consistent and the level of milk frothing is exactly how I like my cappuccino. Textured milk, thick and sufficient espresso.

Homemade Tiramisu - Layers of mascarpone, cream, sponge fingers dipped generously in espresso. This photo do no justice to the actual taste of this heaven sent cake. The photo is simply horrible (I apologize a million time). It is indeed dipped generously in espresso for you can taste it well. This is a MUST try. Mr Hubs is not a dessert fan and he ate half of this.

I've been here numerous time during the day and did not snap any photos with my camera. Just instagram it via my iPhone. I do regret it. If I do remember the next round, I'll be sure do write about RBB in another post.

You might or might not notice that I seldom write about the type of crowds at food joints that I have visit. Well, for me it's pretty simple, if you like the food there just disregard the crowd. You're there to eat and not marry whoever that's in the crowd unless it's a case of serendipity. Which I think is a load of bullshit!
