D'Legends Bar, TTDI KL

If you refer to my previous post, it was a week of burger indulgence for us. And another popular place for pork burger is none other than D'Legends Bar in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, KL. I heard rave reviews about this place and decided to check it out with Mr Hubs and my colleagues.

Shepherd's Pie - Spiced creamy lamb with root vegetables topped with buttery mash and melted mozarella cheese. I love this!

Pork Burger - 200 grams of juicy spicy pork patty, salsa and gooey mozarella cheese. Mr Hubs order and he loves me. I don't coz I don't take salsa.

Pork Satay - Plump and juicy sticks of pork satay. Served with their very own chilli peanut sauce. This is classified as bar bites. Do not be fooled for the portion is extremely generous, only order this if you're really hungry coz you won't want to waste this.

Great place to chill and ample parking at night. Dead celebrities line the walls; the likes of Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley etc.

Wallop Pork Burgers +closed down+

There was a particular week we went burger crazy. We had burger almost 5 out of 7 days. It was cholestrol filled and I could practically feel my heart stop. I came to know about Wallop Burger from my dad through his Instagram photos and yes, my dad is a user.

They've been opened since September 2011 and strive to provide the best homemade patty for the enjoyment of their customers. This is what the lady boss told me after we had our meal. She's friendly, motherly and stayed to chat. Their tagline : Fresh Minced Pork, Fresh Garnishing, Fresh Buns.

Since it was our first time here, we were not sure about ordering. The lady boss slowly explain to us on building our burgers from the base ; Papa Wallop, Mama Wallop, Sergeant Wallop and Hot Boy.

For example :

Mama Wallop - Single Pork Patty
Papa Wallop - Double Pork Patty
Hot Boy - Single Pork Patty with Chilli Padi

To add on : Pay the extras for bacon, eggs or mushroom

And each combo includes fries and drinks.

Our food served in a tray.

Mr Hubs's order : Papa Wallop and add on of bacon and egg

This bun might look like nothing but it's awesome and soft. It practically melts in your mouth. I can just eat the bun on its own.

My order : Mama Wallop and add on of bacon, mushroom and egg

Disclaimer : This is a non-halal cafe.

If you would like to know more about this lovely place, click on their Facebook page here. And they have free wifi as well and it's pretty fast. Do check out this simple cafe that sells pork burger in SS2.

Williams Corner, Taman Mayang PJ

The first place that pops to mind when you're craving for street Western food is Williams Corner in Taman Mayang. Nothing else compares for the hungries of PJ. I still remember this place during my college days when I lepak with my friends for makan and drinks. Gigantic fruit juice and great food (it's almost a guarantee!)

To be honest, I have not makan-ed here for a long long time. I've moved on to other cuisines for the past 10 years. And recently, a friend came to visit from Penang and would like to eat here. I'm game!

Beef ribs, melts in your mouth. Gravy is just nice and lip-smack-a-li-cicious.
Mr Hubs and Mr BT shared this. Portion : super generous.

My order of Chicken Chop. Served with Mashed Potatoes and Coleslaw. Outside crispy inside is moist. Yum-a-li-cious.

All the food here is Halal. So be rest assured that you won't sin if you eat here. Maybe overeating and gluttony. No menu is given when you eat here, so ask the staff what is served. If you're a dainty eater, please don't be a hero and share a meal.

Our recent trip to Singapore includes dinner with my colleague who's now based in Singapore. My sister has been dying to meet him coz she admires his fashion sense and what he does. But she was so shy when she finally met him that she got tongue tied. It was funny.

The plan was to meet him for dinner at Wild Honey at Scotts Square, Singapore. He gave us a few choices; Fried Pork Cutlet Rice, Ramen or All Day breakfast for dinner and we chose the latter. The idea seems funny coz we're to have breakfast for dinner. But we're glad that we chose this because the place is beautiful.

According to their website, "At Wild Honey, we love breakfast. But we're not talking about about your grandmother's breakfast. We love the limitless and delicious posibilities of breakfast - sweet, savory, spicy, chewy, gooey, simple and elegant."

The interior

China plates lined the wall

Rosehip Tea

Mellow Melon

Orange Juice

Portobello Road - Baked Portobello mushrooms, fresh wilted spinach, red pepper & onion confit, perfect poached eggs, lemon Hollandaise on brioche.

The English - The full works. Scrambled eggs, back bacon, Cumberland pork sausage, sauteed mushrooms, Dad's baked beans, breakfast potatoes, grilled vine ripened tomato & signature brioche.

Tunisian - Sizzling pan of spicy shakshouka (tomato, onion, red pepper, chilli), studded with Chorizo sausage, crowned with 2 fried eggs, signature brioche & Israeli salad.

One of the desserts on display.

It was a hearty dinner for all of us and I could not finish my English. This is a first for me coz I am normally a glutton. The portion is just too big for me that night.

PS Cafe, Singapore

I went to Singapore recently for a break. My good friend Ms CAV recommended a place to check out for its good coffee and ambience. After dinner one night, Mr Hubs' friend asked where to next and I said Dempsey Hill for coffee. The reaction I got was, "Woah! That is an expensive place". I don't know that coz I'm not from Singapore and secondly, I don't care coz I'm having my holiday and I want good coffee. (So lansi I know but it's a holiday!)

The good thing is that they have a car so that we can explore more places and a working GPS. We've got no data line in Singapore and it's hard to search for the address on the go. So, thanks guys!

After we sat down, only we realised that they have a few outlets around Singapore ; Ann Siang Hill, Harding Road (the one we went to), Palais and Paragon. The cafe is made out of glass walls and nestled in the jungle. Love love love the location. We arrived there around 10-ish, they are opened til midnight on a normal day with kitchen closed at 10.45pm. It works for us coz we planned to have coffee and desserts only.

Here are some photos of the stuff that we ordered that night. It was sinful. And the cake portion is extremely generous and not too sweet.

Chocolate Cake

Ultimate Fudge - this cake is packed with lots of marshmallows

What we like about the cakes here is that it is not too sweet and overwhelming. Sharing a slice is highly recommended.

The next time I visit Singapore, I'll sure visit PS Cafe again. The ambience is cosy, the food looks extremely good and the coffee is tasty.
